The past two years have contained some of the lowest points in my life. In the midst of that, I have created this experimental/ambient album as a means of processing that period. It is based upon a recurring dream that I had during that time. During the dream, I find myself in an cabin in the wilderness. I discover a secret door in the basement and decide to go in. I go down further and further through dark tunnels and crypt-like passages. Along these passages are rooms inhabited by amorphous, fleshy, bloody beings and a sense of indescribable fear. Eventually, I find a subterranean ocean with a featureless island in the middle. Taking an old boat to the island, I discover a hole with a ladder. I climb down the ladder. As I go deeper, the hole gets smaller. Eventually, I am consumed by my surroundings and everything morphs into a series of strange, jumbled memories.
